Introduction

Mr. Sato began his career as a sushi chef when he was 18 years old. He now has 27 years of experience as a sushi artist, offering unique cuisine to his guests here in Singapore with the Omakase course.

He started his career at Tsukiji Tamazushi (Tokyo) where he spent 5 years honing his skills. He said, “I spent my life in the dormitory with my colleagues. The experience was very tough for a young man, but he managed to build a base as a sushi chef.

He then returned to his native Hokkaido, where fresh fish abounds. Sushi was something familiar to him as a child. His parents were sushi fans and frequently visited sushi restaurants with him. He successfully built his career in Hokkaido, where he has many sushi memories.

Life is always an unexpected journey for everyone. One day, he got an offer from an acquaintance who opened a new restaurant in Singapore called Hashida (https://hashida.sg/). It is now a famous Japanese restaurant since 2013. Originally, he was only supposed to stay in Singapore for 2 years, but he really liked the country. He put all his soul as a sous chef and worked successfully in the restaurants for 8 years.

And his first restaurant named “Sushi Sato” was opened in November 2021. Most of the ingredients are shipped from Japan by air 3 times a week. This is important piece to meet the high expectations of customers and cater to different food preferences. His course starts with communication and creating a unique experience for all guests. As he has built a strong connection with his fans, the restaurant is already fully booked for the next 3 months before the official opening.

The unique thing about Sushi Sato is his charming character. With this, he surely entertains all the guests and recommends you to experience his whole presentation once.Mr. Sato said, “I love Hoshizaki. That’s why I decided to work with Hoshizaki for my first restaurant. Although the kitchen size is not very big, I am very happy with the design and functionality of the kitchen.”
