No! It is actually not as flammable and risky if the correct measures are used to handle the refrigerant.

You do not need to be worried about it being more flammable than the previous R134a and R404 Hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) refrigerants, as the amount of R290 Hydrocarbon (HC) used in our machines is relatively small. The switch to R290 is propelled by the attempt to reduce the impact on global warming.
